June 13: Material solutions and glass recycling company Sibelco recently acquired Texas-based Strategic Materials. Strategic, which operates 42 facilities, processes an estimated 2 million metric tons of cullet per year and is known as one of North America’s largest glass recyclers.

CCL Industries announced this week that it completed its buyout of Pacman-CCL, its Middle East joint venture, by acquiring the remaining 50% equity interest from Albwardy Investment, its Dubai-based partner. “We are very excited to have full ownership of our operations in this fast growing and vibrant region of the world,” said CCL CEO Geoffrey Martin in a statement. The venture is folding into CCL Label. 

Other recent updates include SupplyOne’s acquisition of Columbia Corrugated Box and Berkley’s acquisition of Sisco Corp.
